OCTOBER 2025 - Library Progress and Updates: Ground Broken!

I am thrilled to share the news that we have officially broken ground on the $45 million library renovation project! This milestone has been a long time coming. Back in 2011, when voters considered Measure J, the library was featured on the cover of the ballot information pamphlet because even then, major upgrades were needed. Today, that vision is becoming a reality, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what this Next Chapter brings.

Construction will begin this month with fencing around the site. Interior demolition will follow in the next two to three months. Much of the early work will take place inside the building, so you may not notice big changes right away. Rest assured, our contractors are committed to working as quickly and safely as possible.

Meanwhile, our Rimrock Library is buzzing with activity. As we settle into our new space, expect even more events and programs. Coming up soon, our very first Rimrocktober Halloween Party on Tuesday, October 28, from 3:30–5:30 p.m. All ages are invited to join the fun! Start at the library for games and prizes, then visit our Rimrock Plaza neighbors for Trick-or-Treating. Wishing you a joyful fall season filled with books, reading, and community.
