Palm Springs High School Homecoming Parade – Wednesday, October 23, 2024:

Palm Springs High School will be hosting their annual Homecoming Parade, downtown Palm Springs. The pre-stage closure will take place on Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon Road to Baristo Road, and will include the portion of Baristo Road, westside, from Palm Canyon Drive to Belardo Road starting at 1:00 p.m. The parade route runs on Palm Canyon Drive from Baristo Road to Chino Drive and will be closed by 2:30 p.m. with the parade beginning at 3:30 p.m. We anticipate the parade route will be completely reopened by 5:30 p.m.

Halloween on Arenas Road – Sunday October 27, 2024:

Halloween on Arenas Road returns for their annual celebration, Sunday October 27. Arenas Road between Indian Canyon & Calle Encilia will be closed at 6:00 a.m. for the event setup. Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m., ending at 10:00 p.m. Live entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m. The annual costume contest will begin at 8:00 p.m. Re-opening of the street will be completed by 2:00 a.m. on Monday October 28. Greater Palm Springs Pride Festival, Block Party & Parade – November 1 - 3, 2024:

The Greater Palm Springs Pride Festival returns to Downtown Palm Springs. Load-in begins in downtown Palm Springs on Thursday, October 31, during the VILLAGEFEST CLOSURE. The street will not reopen to vehicular traffic until Monday morning, Nov. 4. Palm Canyon Drive from Amado Road to Baristo Road, and Arenas Road between Belardo Road and Indian Canyon Drive will be closed for the entire weekend, reopening again on Monday, November 4, by 8:00 a.m.  Pride Festival load-in takes place on these streets after VillageFest.

Load-in begins Wednesday, October 30 on Belardo Road between Museum Way and N. Belardo Road beginning at 7:00 a.m.  Andreas Road between Palm Canyon Drive and Belardo Road will be closed for the weekend.

Arenas Road will close from Palm Canyon Drive west to the Kaiser Grill parking lot at 6:00 a.m. to begin setup for the Health & Wellness Tent.

Day of the Queen Arenas Road Event – Arenas Road will be closed from Thursday, October 31 at 6:00 a.m. through Monday, November 4 at 8:00 a.m. for Pride Festival Events.

The Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, November 3 and will begin at Tachevah Road and head southbound on Palm Canyon Drive to Amado Road where it will end. Palm Canyon Drive from Vista Chino to Tachevah Drive will close from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for pre-stage. Palm Canyon Drive from Alejo Road to Amado Road will close from approximately 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for the parade route. Merito Road will be closed from Palm Canyon Drive to the Trio back parking lot from 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Palm Springs Veterans Day Parade – Honoring All Who Served - Monday, November 11, 2024:

The Palm Springs Veterans Day Parade returns to Palm Canyon Drive on Monday, November 11, at 3:30 p.m. The parade will begin at Ramon Road and head northbound on Palm Canyon Drive to Alejo Road where the parade ends. Immediately following the parade, there will be a post-parade concert featuring the 300th Army Reserve Band and will culminate in a fireworks finale at the intersection of Amado Road and Palm Canyon Drive. Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon Road to Camino Parocela will be closed beginning at 11:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. for pre-stage. Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon Road to Chino Road will be closed from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the parade route. Palm Springs Wild Turkey Trot – Thursday, November 28, 2024:

The Wild Turkey Trot will return to Palm Canyon Drive on Thursday, November 28 at 8:00 a.m. This annual 5K will start at Tahquitz Canyon on Palm Canyon Drive. Runners will head southbound on Palm Canyon to Ramon Road, westbound to Belardo Road and then travel southbound on Belardo Road to the intersection of S. Palm Canyon and Belardo Road. Runners will make a U-turn and run the same route in return, ending the run at Tahquitz Canyon Way and Palm Canyon Drive. Palm Canyon Drive, between Amado Road and Ramon Road, will be closed from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Staff will make every attempt to re-open Palm Canyon Drive as quickly as possible. Festival of Lights Parade - Saturday, December 7, 2024:

The Festival of Lights Parade will return to Palm Canyon Drive on Saturday, December 7, at 5:45 p.m. The parade will begin at Ramon Road and head northbound on Palm Canyon Drive to Tachevah Road. Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon Road to Sunny Dunes Road will be closed from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for pre-stage, along with the westbound portion of Ramon Road from Palm Canyon Drive to Belardo Road. Additionally, Ramon Rd. from Indian Canyon Drive to Calle El Segundo will be closed for pre-stage. Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon Road to Vista Chino Road will be closed from approximately 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for the parade route.
