South Palm Canyon Drive Bridge, City Project 12-02
The existing bridge, originally constructed in 1930, is outdated and structurally deficient. Also, the current bridge approach configuration creates a bottleneck for traffic on S. Palm Canyon Drive. The proposed project will replace the existing bridge to address its outdated structure, safety concerns, and the traffic bottleneck it creates.

The work will include:
• Demolition and reconstruction of the bridge over the Tahquitz Creek Channel.
• Reconstruction of the channel slopes around the bridge.
• Street reconstruction of South Palm Canyon Drive, which includes new curb and gutter, sidewalks, and storm drains.
• Installation of new landscaped medians and parkways.
• New traffic signal improvements.
• Installation of a domestic waterline.
• New street lighting and striping.
