Demuth Dog Parks Project

The Department of Parks & Recreation staff are currently finalizing the design of both the Large & Small Dog Parks at Demuth Park.

A ribbon cutting for the new playground equipment at Baristo Park took place on April 10, 2025.




New Victoria Park Playground Equipment

The recently installed, vibrant and activity diverse equipment is a stunning addition to the park, at 2744 N. Via Miraleste.

    Location: Demuth Park and Sunrise Park Ballfields

    Project Description: The lights at the various park ballfields were installed in the 1950s and 1960s and utilized outdated and energy inefficient metal halide light fixtures that are no longer manufactured. This project will replace the metal halide light fixtures with energy efficient LED light fixtures and replace the wiring system.

    Project Status: Construction in progress - The project is to be completed by the end of April, 2024. During construction some fields at Demuth Park will not have night lighting and the City is working with sports organizations to keep programs going while this valuable improvement project is finalized.

    Cost: $4,194,219

    Funding: Measure J
