Playground Equipment Shade Structures - Demuth Park & Baristo Park

Project Description: Construct shade structures over the two playgrounds at Demuth Park and the playground at Baristo Park

Project Status: Construction (Notice to Proceed)

Project Justification: Intense summer heat, makes playground equipment hot to the touch and unusable by children for large parts of the day. Shade structures will provide some relief and allow for children to play outdoors.

Funding: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The CDBG program can fund projects like this when located in a low/moderate income area of the City.
