It’s Time to Celebrate at the Library!

There are many things to celebrate at the Palm Springs Public Library, on Saturday, July 19 the community is invited to celebrate with us! First, from 1 – 2 PM we will celebrate the conclusion of the 2025 Summer Reading Level Up @ Your Library Program. Grand Prizes, courtesy of the Friends of the Palm Springs Library will be awarded for all ten prizes including a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, a $100 Amazon gift card, and themed gaming bundles including a Pickleball set and match or lesson with Palm Springs Chief of Police Andy Mills! There will also be prize drawings for additional giveaways for all those in attendance; everyone is welcome to attend.

Following the Summer Reading Finale, we will continue the party from 2 – 4 PM turning our focus to the Renovation Celebration and Closing party. There will be special guest speakers and activities including face painting, custom poems, and commemorative activities including the opening of the Time Capsule! There will also be ice cream and special giveaways.

The Library will remain open until the close of business on Friday, August 8. The Library will re-open at its temporary location at Rimrock Plaza at 4721 E. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264.

Everyone in the Community, in addition to current and former employees, current and former Board members, and City Officials and Staff are invited to attend and participate in this FREE and festive community celebration.

During the renovation the Library will maintain the same hours of operation at our temporary space at Rimrock Plaza. Programming will continue at various locations around the City including but not limited to the Welwood Murray Memorial Library, Mizell Center, and more locations to be announced.
